I started making this crochet blanket for one of my grand daughters last winter and with only about 6 weeks to go until the weather starts to cool here I better get it finished. Besides that, I have 3 other blankets to make as well!

So over the course of the last month I have been on a pretty hectic diet. Menopause has put weight on me I am not loving and it’s time it comes off and not only that my health could do with a bit of an overhaul! So, I have been taking shakes, superfoods and pretty much little else! The detox process was hard and I didn’t actually get over it, the headaches were relentless and the hunger pains were like labor pains. All in all it was pretty crap! For the past 5 days I have gone back to my normal eating, but less of it, and more mindful of the amount of sugar we are eating. I will get back to my diet next week, but I will tweak it a bit, because I cannot do those detox headaches. I am going to do most of our food from scratch, instead of instant packet stuff we usually grab. But for today I felt like trying these cinnamon scrolls, I have never made them before, and apart from leaving the cling wrap on them while they cooked *rolls eyes, another menopause moment, they are pretty good!

So I am a really bad sleeper, have been for probably close on 30 years after my 3rd child was born, she literally didn’t sleep until she went to school, up at least 3 times a night and that’s how life went back then. Of course I didn’t know what I was doing back then so her not sleeping was just a normal part of life. However, it caused me to get into the habit of not sleeping and I have been tired and grumpy ever since LOL! Knowing that little bit of my lack of sleep history you will understand why menopause sleep disruptions aren’t really a problem for me but as I get older I am getting Lot more tired and frustrated that I just can’t go to bed and wake up the net morning.

So I was very spoilt this year for my birthday and among other things my daughters pitched in and got me a Nintendo Switch Lite!!! So stoked with it and my eldest son bought me the Animal Crossing Game. I am not sure I understand what to do with this game yet as I have only just started playing it but I am sure I will pick it up. At this stage I am building a campsite and picking up sticks for the campfire and a raccoon I think it is is giving the directions. You have to talk to other animals along the way as well. This is a multi player online game and I am going to connect with my daughter so she can tell me what to do! Another game that will connect you to your kids and grandkids!
I use this recipe all the time and I can testify to how easy it is to make and how delicious it is to eat. These days I want simple and tasty so I am always scouring the internet for recipes that suits those needs. I don’t own a cookbook at all, I find that Uncle Google gets me the best recipes that there are available.

So it seems that everywhere I look on social media someone is bagging out someone. Everyone is an expert on every single thing and it annoys me. Today I am taking aim at those who bag out, degrade, belittle and basically talk crap about MLM companies and those who are a part of them. Apparently people who are in MLM companies are brainwashed, brain dead, money hungry, unqualified morons who use products that are over inflated in price and try to ‘peddle’ their wares on to unsuspecting others promising millions of dollars in return! Now while there is a bit of truth to that, NOT ALL people who are in an MLM are like that!! I am in 2 mlms, I am far from brainwashed as I will tell people what works and doesn’t work, I will also tell people to see a doctor where necessary, I share MY experiences and you can listen or not, if not, it’s no big deal. The products ARE usually superior, I have tried at least 15 other companies and none of them compare. I get it though, these days money is tight and people are on a budget so they use non MLM companies, but they don’t need to be running around telling everyone that the MLM companies are bad and so are their products and that’s why they changed. Usually it’s a money issue or they will be people who couldn’t get the business side happening for them.
